Grand Gold for a Castell d’Or Cava at the Sélections Mondiales des Vins in Canada

The Castell d’Or Group has achieved exceptional recognition at the 31st edition of the Concours Sélections Mondiales des Vins Canada, the most important wine competition in North America, solidifying its position as a leading brand in cava and wine at the international level. Among the awards received, the Gran Gold Medal for Cava Castell d’Or Brut Orgànic stands out, which was also honored with the prestigious VINOFED Prize, placing this cava among the top 50 wines of the entire competition.

This competition, held last July in Alguer (Sardinia), brought together 50 international tasters to evaluate over 900 sparkling wines from 24 countries. Catalan cava played a prominent role, and Castell d’Or received distinctions that highlighted the quality of its products.

The VINOFED Prize is one of the competition’s most exclusive accolades, awarded by the World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competitions (VINOFED), which includes 15 of the world’s most prestigious contests. This prize is only given to the top four wines in the categories of Red, White, Rosé, and Sparkling, reinforcing the international relevance of Cava Castell d’Or Brut Orgànic.

Medals won by Castell d’Or at the Concours Sélections Mondiales des Vins Canada 2024:

1. Cava Castell d’Or Brut Orgànic: Gran Gold 2024 and VINOFED Prize.
2. Flama d’Or Brut: Gold Medal.
3. Cabaret Brut: Silver Medal.

Cava Castell d’Or Brut Orgànic, made from classic cava varieties, is distinguished by its pale lemon color with golden reflections and elegant bubbles. On the nose, it surprises with aromas of honeysuckle, nectarine, and light lacteous notes. Additionally, it is produced with 100% organic methods, reflecting Castell d’Or‘s commitment to sustainability and quality.
