Castell d’Or has received the Gold medal for its Castell d’Or Brut Orgánic cava at the most important organic wine competition in the world: The Organic Wine Awards International. The contest is organized by WINE System AG. It is the only competition authorized by the European Union carried out with PAR-System, a tasting system that favors a greater knowledge of the products.
The Castell d’Or Brut Organic is a blend of classical cava varieties Xarel lo, Macabeo and Parellada. The grapes come from totally organic production. The use of synthetic chemical products such as fertilizers, pesticides, etc. is minimized as much as possible. The aim is to preserve the environment, maintain and promote the fertility of the soil and provide a fruit that keeps all its natural qualities, in other words, not to harm nature with agricultural practices. In addition, it is a vegan product made without any ingredients of animal origin.
The award-winning cava is a very expressive and aromatic sparkling wine, with notes of ripe green fruits and citrus. It is aged at least 14 months in the cellars and is expressive and fresh with mineral notes. Elegance and balance define this sparkling wine, perfect to accompany a whole meal. This cava has received different international awards such as the recent Sélections Mondiales des Vins Canada or the Gold medal for Best Young Sparkling at the Vinari 2020 awards.
The Organic Wine Awards International is considered one of the most important events in the sector, the results of the competition are internationally recognized and serve as a quality reference for both winegrowers and consumers.
