A brand that now breathes more elegance, depth, and a clear connection

to the history of the land

Castell d’Or presents the restyling of its DO Montsant wines: the Templers. This is an aesthetic renewal of one of the group’s most historic brands, which now exudes greater elegance, depth, and a stronger connection to the region’s heritage. This change reflects the desire to better connect with the profile of today’s wine consumer—someone who values unique wines with identity, meaning, and deep roots—and to position the wine as a quality offering within one of the most prestigious winemaking regions of Catalonia.

Inspiration and Territory

The new image is the result of a strategic project developed by our design team—specialists in visual identity for the wine sector—in collaboration with illustrator Jordi Forcada, known for his creative and distinctive approach. The project captures the essence of a story that moves between the history and legend of the Templars. Elegant and evocative, the label stands out for its embossed finishes, which add depth and highlight the illustration inspired by Templar symbolism. The Order of the Temple settled in the south of Catalonia, leaving a profound mark on the region’s history. They protected sacred sites and ensured the safety of pilgrims. Their legacy, surrounded by mystery and legends such as the Holy Grail, continues to captivate the collective imagination even centuries later. This spirit—of nobility, strength, and spirituality—has inspired the label’s design. The new label, hand-illustrated in pencil, represents the path of the Templars on their journey to sacred lands.

A wine that reflects the essence of Montsant

Located in the heart of the Priorat region, the DO Montsant is renowned for the authenticity of its wines, shaped by a mountainous landscape, a wide variety of soils, and a climate that favors balanced grape ripening. Vi Templer Jove, made from 50% Garnacha Negra and 50% Cariñena—two of the region’s historic varieties—stands out for its roundness and fresh aromas of cherry with subtle hints of strawberry. On the other hand, Vi Templer Selecció, made with Garnacha Negra, Cariñena, and Syrah, offers remarkable aromatic complexity and a long finish, giving it a unique character.

With this new visual identity, Castell d’Or reaffirms its commitment to updating the design of its products to reflect its values and vision. A visual proposal designed to appeal to a consumer who is increasingly attentive to the origin, identity, and story behind every bottle.
