Five wines from the cooperative group among the top eleven in the category of Young Sparkling Wines

The Castell d’Or group has received several awards at the Vinari Awards in the Young Wines category. The most important Catalan Awards’ Gala, presented by Vadevi’s director, Eva Vicens, took place this Wednesday, June 21st, at the Celler de Rubí. The group has excelled in the Sparkling Wines category, achieving two gold medals and three silver medals for different products, consolidating the group’s commitment to excellence in the production of sparkling wines.

In the category of Young White Sparkling Wines, Castell d’Or has been recognized with a gold medal for two of its most exquisite wines: Cabaret Brut 2021 from Castell d’Or and Castell d’Or Cava Brut Nature 2021. These two wines, with their refreshing flavor and elegance, have captivated the palates of the wine experts who tasted them blind. Additionally, Castell d’Or has obtained silver medals for other of its wines: Cabaret Brut Reserva Le Scandale 2021, Castell d’Or Brut 2021, and Castell d’Or Brut Orgànic 2021 have been recognized for their quality and complexity. In total, there are five wines that are among the eleven chosen as the best in all of Catalonia.

Furthermore, in the Rosé Wines category, Castell d’Or’s Vi Rosat Trepat has deserved a silver medal. The Vi Rosat Castell d’Or from the DO Conca de Barberà is produced from the black grape variety Trepat, a variety recovered by local producers and increasingly in demand for its unique characteristics that give rise to fresh and delicate wines.

The recognition in these prestigious awards of the wine industry in Catalonia is a testament to Castell d’Or’s commitment and passion for offering wines of superior quality.

Castell d’Or, the union of 16 cooperatives from the Catalan territory

Castell d’Or was born in 2006 from the union of different wineries from different wine-producing areas in Penedès, Conca de Barberà, Priorat, Tarragona, Montsant, and Costers del Segre.
