This Sunday, Valls became the epicenter of Catalan gastronomy with the celebration of the 43rd Gran Festa de la Calçotada, an event that doubled the city’s usual population, surpassing all attendance expectations. Castell d’Or, one of the main sponsors, played a prominent role in the event, helping to highlight the tradition and quality of local products.
The festival, organized by the Valls City Council and the Valls Chamber of Commerce, is recognized as one of the most important in the country. It attracted visitors from all over the world, solidifying itself as a must-attend event for food enthusiasts. Castell d’Or took this opportunity to showcase its wines and cavas, which paired perfectly with the calçots, offering attendees a complete gastronomic experience.
During the day, the Minister of Business and Labor, Miquel Sàmper, along with the Mayor of Valls, Dolors Farré, the President of the Valls Chamber of Commerce, Josep Maria Rovira, and other authorities, visited Castell d’Or’s stand, highlighting the brand’s commitment to promoting the region and supporting local producers.
The Castell d’Or team would like to thank the public for their warm reception, as well as the effort of the organizers and volunteers who make this event possible. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to Catalan traditions and to promoting high-quality products deeply rooted in the region.
The Gran Festa de la Calçotada also marks the beginning of the year in which Catalonia becomes the World Gastronomy Region 2025, and Castell d’Or will continue working to be a benchmark in this field.
