The Tarragona City Hospitality Business Association, with the support of the Tarragona City Council\u2019s Tourist Board and the Port of Tarragona, and sponsored by Arr\u00f2s Bayo and Celler Castell d\u2019Or, presented this morning the Tarragona Seafaring Rice Gastronomic Days.<\/p>\n

For 15 days, some of the city\u2019s best restaurants will serve special menus featuring seafaring rice as the main attraction.<\/p>\n

Montse Adan, Councillor for Tourism, Economic Promotion and Commerce of Tarragona, emphasized that \u201cTarragona is many things: it is culture, heritage, tradition, commerce\u2026 but Tarragona is also synonymous with GASTRONOMY. And with these Gastronomic Days, it proves it year after year \u2014 that\u2019s why we invite everyone to take part.\u201d<\/p>\n

The participating restaurants are: Brisa Restaurant\/Tamarit Beach Resort, Restaurant El Llagut, El Rac\u00f3 del Pescador, Taranta Restaurant, Restaurant Hola Playa, Casa Balcells, Restaurant La Morada, La Xarxa, Restaurant La Malcriada, Quattros, La Sardineta Restaurant, Vadegust, Gure-Toki, Selv\u00e1tico Wellness Food & Cocktails, El P\u00f2sit del Serrallo, Flamingo, Tapepear, Galliner de l\u2019Antiquari, Casa Bartra Hotel N\u00faria, Beach House La Mora and N\u00e0utic Tarragona<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Javier Escribano, president of AEH Tarragona Ciutat, highlighted the reason behind these days: \u201cto de-seasonalize the gastronomic offer and promote restaurants during periods of lower activity throughout the year \u2014 something that benefits the whole city.\u201d<\/p>\n

The menus will feature BAYO rice from the Ebro Delta and will be paired with wines and cavas from Celler Castell d\u2019Or.<\/p>\n

Santos Mart\u00ednez, representative of Nomen Foods, remarked that \u201cRice is essential because we eat it at any time and in any situation. And you are capable of giving it a unique touch that not every product has.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finally, Jordi Amell, CEO of Grup Castell d\u2019Or, added, \u201cthis event is, above all, a celebration of the region and the identity of a city with a long and rich fishing tradition that dates back to Roman times and still shapes its most authentic character today<\/strong>,\u201d and added, \u201cwe are convinced that our wines and cavas are the perfect complement to the cuisine of the Costa Daurada.
