The group starts collaboration with the organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adolescents with cancer in the province of Tarragona and throughout Catalonia.<\/p>\n

The company Castell d\u2019Or has signed today a collaboration agreement with the\u00a0Association of Family and Friends of Oncological Children from Catalonia (AFANOC)<\/a>. This is a private entity that offers comprehensive psychosocial care to children and adolescents with cancer and their families. The delegate of the entity in Tarragona, Miguel Javaloy Serrano, and the CEO of the group, Jordi Amell, have signed this document to join efforts in helping people who suffer.<\/p>\n

The main objective is to improve the quality of life of families and children who are living through the disease, as well as to collaborate for a better understanding of these diseases and their treatments. Castell d\u2019Or\u00a0 who has been always attentive to different local social initiatives, wants to support this project and the activities that the entity will carry out soon. Castell d\u2019Or wants to\u00a0make its small contribution to the activities lead by<\/u> associations from its closest environment, thus reinforcing the local social structure \u00a0and contributing to the well-being of the community.<\/p>\n

AFANOC, support in hospitals<\/h3>\n

AFANOC carries out its work in Barcelona, Lleida, Tarragona, and Girona. The association is also present also have a presence) in reference hospitals, Sant Joan de D\u00e9u and Vall Hebron. They also have La Casa dels Xuklis, to accommodate families who have to travel far from their homes to receive treatment at the reference hospitals in Barcelona.<\/p>\n

Put on the Cap Campaign!<\/h3>\n

Likewise, the group made up of 16 cooperatives supports the \u201cPut on the Cap!\u201d (campaign,) – a sensitization campaign to raise awareness of childhood cancer, to normalize the disease and alleviate the needs that arise from its diagnosis. The design of the cap is always festive, cheerful, and positive to reinforce the concepts of societal unity in supporting children and adolescents with cancer and their families. The design of the cap changes every year, thanks to the collaboration with international brands and designers who bring their vision to the campaign, adding a qualitative plus that makes the caps a collector\u2019s item of solidarity.<\/p>\n
